Editor's note: this entry was originally published by Snyder on a now defunct "Silence Project" blog. I post it here for archival purposes.
Here are two failed attempts.
Bah, car ruined it.
Bah, Birds.

Excellent, Snyder. The rain one is particularly nice. Now as far as silence goes--I think that is in the ear of the beholder. In any case, it is difficult to record silence and that is my point. But are birds and rain better than a car? I think so.
ReplyDeleteI listened to "rain" again, Snyder--I dig the wind chimes. Perhaps we could expand "silence" to being about attempts to record without man-made sounds interfering?
ReplyDeleteThats a good idea. I'm all for it. I'll keep an ear out.
